Kohler PerfectFill is the bath-running aid we've been missing all our lives

Running a bath has always been a tricky balancing act. Ensuring you get the temperature just right before the hot water runs out, and with enough of the wet stuff to ensure you don't have to contend with that awkward half-full phase where your exposed skin gets chilly.

Enter the Kohler PerfectFill, which will allow you to set the perfect temp and water depth for your tub time.

No more anxiously dipping a toe in under threat of going all Arnie at the end of Terminator 2!

The new gadget, just announced at CES 2022, will also enable you to walk away from the bathroom without the risk of flooding the house.

It can all be achieved through the Kohler Connect companion app or through voice commands from Google Home or Alexa.

There are also ten pre-set options meaning there's a solution for everyone in the household.

That convenience will cost you though, as the PerfectFill will start at an estimated $2,700 when it goes on sale later this year.

That's because it's sold as an entire system that includes a valve, a wall-mounted system controller and a drain that's probably going to require some professional installation.

Yet still, Kohler PerfectFill we're awfully fond of you... doh doh de-oh

There's also a Stillness Bath coming later this year, which the company describes as a "multi-sensory bathing experience inspired by Japanese forest bathing."

That sounds just lovely doesn't it? And it looks pretty good too...

Elsewhere, as part of the CES reveals, Kohler is launching a touchless bathroom faucet and a ceiling-mounted kitchen tap called Purist Suspend.

It features a remote puck that manages activation, temperature and volume, and a fully adjustable hose with 180-degree rotation.

Also announced was the IQ Digital Lock Box, essentially a bathroom cabinet with a smart lock.
