Hey 'Immersive Van Gogh' fans, this massive new art experience is coming to metro Phoenix

"Immersive Van Gogh" fans have a new show to put on their calendars: "Immersive Klimt: Revolution."

The show — produced by "Immersive Van Gogh" creator and digital artist Massimiliano Siccardi — will feature the works of Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, including his most famous paintings "The Woman in Gold," "Tree of Life" and "The Kiss."

The show, inspired by "Immersive Van Gogh," features a 45 minute experience where visitors are surrounded by 360 degrees of Gustav Klimt's paintings.

The exhibition is set to premiere in Phoenix on March 26 at the Lighthouse ArtSpace Phoenix at 4301 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. Tickets are on sale now.

Here's your complete guide to the new exhibition.

What to expect at the 'Immersive Klimt: Revolution' Exhibition

The show, unlike "Immersive Van Gogh" — which solely focused on Van Gogh's paintings and personal life — will blend the history, culture and music of Klimt's time period. Works by his protégés, Austrian artists Egon Schiele and Koloman Moser, will also be featured. The show displays 60,600 frames of video on more than 500,000 cubic feet of projection surfaces.

"If you're going to do Gustav Klimt, you have to talk all about Vienna at the time, the Vienna Succession movement in culture and arts, which he led, and he wound up revolutionizing everything," Richard Ouzounian, a creative consultant of Lighthouse Immersive, said. "Then, in 1914, at the climax of all of this, World War I happened and the Austro-Hungarian empire fell apart. It's a really complex piece of history, art and philosophy.

The last five minutes of the show will play techno-pop music to shade Klimt's final works — all which seem like they could come from a more modern era of time, Ouzounian said.
