The final touches are being put to Derby's newest venue - the Moorways Sports Village - with a suggestion from the city council that it could be open before Easter.
Families will have a great time at what is a combined swimming and water park experience, featuring a 50m ten-lane pool, which can be divided into three 25m pools. There will also be a wave machine, flumes and slides in the leisure water area.

Derbyshire Live, which has been to see the venue several times during construction over the past two years, was invited to see the pools now that more than three million litres of water have been added.
As well as water activities, visitors can use a series of meeting rooms, a cafe, gym, fitness suite, sauna and steam rooms, and dance studio. The city council has also promised that the cost of using the facilities, which are being run by private operator Everyone Active, will be "very similar" to those charged now for similar activities at the Queen's Leisure Centre.
